David is CEO, ANZ New Zealand. He is responsible for ANZ in New Zealand as well as leading ANZ’s commercial segment on a global basis.

Previously, David was ANZ Group Managing Director Commercial for Australia based in Melbourne.

During his 30-year career at ANZ, David has held a number of senior executive roles in retail and commercial banking, including two years as Managing Director of UDC in New Zealand between 1998 and 2000.

David holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) from Deakin University, a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from Monash University, and an Executive Masters of Business Administration from Monash University (Mt Eliza).

He is a past recipient of the FINSIA annual scholarship, is a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia, and a Certified Practising Accountant.

David was a founding Director of the charity, Second Bite, but stepped down when he moved to New Zealand.
