The ANZ website contains the following tabs:
ANZ is working to improve access to our branches and ATMs throughout metropolitan, regional and rural areas. This is part of our Customer Charter commitment to provide convenient, simple and responsible banking services.
Since the introduction of our Customer Charter in 2004, we have opened over 88 new branches across Australia.
Over the same period, we have installed more than 1,200 new ANZ ATMs, bringing our Australian ATM network to over 2,500.
We have also extended opening hours in over 248 of our branches, with many open on Saturdays, and on Thursday and Friday nights for extended hours (until 7pm).
All new ANZ ATMs are equipped with an audio-enabling feature to allow visually impaired customers to listen to an audio translation of information as it appears on the screen. Over 2,100 ANZ ATMs have this feature, which will be added to older ATMs as they are upgraded.
New ATMs also allow for wheelchair access by keeping the screen and keypad a minimum distance from the ground. We also avoid locations that require stair only access.
In New Zealand, ANZ and The National Bank were the first banks in New Zealand to introduce multi-lingual ATMs featuring Japanese, Korean, Chinese and English language options.
In the past year, we extended our network with two new branches and 209 new ATMs.
| Year | ANZ branches | ANZ ATMs |
|---|---|---|
| 2004 | 746 | - |

| 2006 | 785 | 1897 |
| 2007 | 819 | 2287 |

We will continue to review our branch and ATM presence in all areas of Australia to ensure our services are accessible for our customers.
