ANZ's management of social and environmental issues in lending is governed by a range of internal bodies.

ANZ's Environmental Finance Committee meets regularly and oversees the development of policies and tools for identifying and managing social and environmental issues in our Institutional business.

There are times when particular credit or investment proposals raise sensitive social and environmental issues, which have the potential to impact on ANZ's reputation.

These issues are elevated to the Group's Reputation Risk Committee for advice, guidance and decision.

The Asia Pacific Reputation Risk Committee oversees our approach to reputation management in the region, including by reviewing our involvement in potentially socially and environmentally sensitive projects and clients.
