Q. What is a widget?
A. A widget is a small application that can be run on Windows or Mac OS desktops. This application is kept small so that it can be built for specific purposes. Due to their size, individual widgets need to run off a larger application called 'Yahoo! Widgets', which is the engine which runs the individual widget.

Q. What is a 'Yahoo! Widget'?
A. The 'Yahoo! Widget' is a JavaScript runtime engine for Windows and Mac OS X that allows widgets to run. If you do not have the 'Yahoo! Widget' you can download it directly from the Yahoo! Widgets tool page.

Q. How do I install the 'ANZ Desktop' widget?
A. If you have a 'Yahoo! Widget' already installed on your machine you can install the 'ANZ Desktop' directly onto you system by clicking on the 'Download ANZ Desktop Widget Now' button and following the directions given.

If you do not have the 'Yahoo! Widget' installed on your system, select the 'Download Yahoo! Widget software'. This will send you to the Yahoo! Widget page where you will be able to download the necessary software. Once installed, you can then download the 'ANZ Desktop' widget by again selecting the 'Download ANZ Desktop Widget Now' button and following the directions given.
Q. What if I cannot see the widget to install?
A. When you select the 'Download ANZ Desktop Widget Now' button, select the 'Save' function and save the program to your computer. Once saved onto your system, select it and it should open the widget onto your system.

Q. How do you check that the widget is authentic?
A. The ANZ Desktop has a Verisign Certificate attached to it which means that you can be assured of the data's authenticity. The first time you run the widget a digital signature will appear alerting you that this is a product of ANZ and that it is authentic.

Q. Does ANZ support 'Yahoo! Widgets'?
A. ANZ has built the 'ANZ Desktop' to provide you with a shortcut to access tools such as a Savings Planner and a Locator. However, as the 'ANZ Desktop' is run through 'Yahoo! Widgets' all support is provided through Yahoo! Please refer to Yahoo! Widget Help for comprehensive information about Widgets.

Q. What is the size of the Yahoo! Widget software?
A. The initial size of the compressed software when downloading, is about 15MB. Once installed and unfolded the software breaks down in size as follows:

Yahoo! Widgets SDK – Size 8.31MB
