The ANZ Economics & Markets Research team is headed by ANZ’s Acting Chief Economist, Warren Hogan. Warren’s team provides forecasts and research on the Australian economy, financial markets and on the economies of major trading partners and countries where ANZ is represented.
The Emerging Asia team is headed by ANZ’s Asia Chief Economist, Paul Gruenwald. This team covers emerging Asian market economies, develops views and forecasts and also produces thematic research.
The Australian Economics and Interest Rate Research team is headed by Warren Hogan. The team's primary responsibilities are Australian macro-economic research, including analysis and forecasting of key macro-economic variables and trends out to a horizon of about three years. This team also releases Australian interest rates research and strategy recommendations for the Markets division and their customers.
The Foreign Exchange and International Economics Research team is headed by Amy Auster. The team’s primary responsibilities are forecasts and directional calls for the Australian dollar and other key currency pairs. This team also provides research to support foreign exchange spot and derivatives views and strategy recommendations for Markets business and their customers.
The Commodities Research team is headed by Mark Pervan. This team is responsible for all research on minerals and energy, agricultural commodities, electricity and emissions.
The Property and Financial System Research team is headed by Paul Braddick. This team is responsible for research on the residential and commercial property markets, demographic trends, trends in personal and corporate finance, credit growth and financial system conditions and stability.
Debt and credit markets research within the Global Markets division is undertaken by Jason Hill.
