Head of Property and Financial System Research, Melbourne
Paul has worked in Economics & Markets Research since 1996 and has a joint honours degree in Economics and Econometrics from Monash University.
Before joining ANZ, Paul worked for the National Institute of Economic and Industry Research where he managed their macroeconomic forecasting business.
Paul currently heads ANZ's Property and Financial System Economics division. His team is responsible for banking and financial systems analysis and forecasting, with particular focus on aggregate and sectoral credit systems. The team also provides comprehensive analysis of both the residential and commercial property sectors. This analysis is undertaken from a macroeconomic viewpoint to assess supply and demand dynamics in these markets for the purpose of price and valuation forecasting, as well as for the assessment of market risk. Paul's team also produces one of ANZ's premier economic publications, the biannual ANZ Australian Property Outlook.
