The ANZ website contains the following tabs:
When you're travelling, it’s a good idea to carry some cash in the currency of the country you're visiting to cover any incidental expenses such as taxis, meals and tipping. (Remember, if you lose your foreign cash, it is gone and cannot be replaced. Never carry too much on you at any one time.)
ANZ offers over 50 different currencies, more than any other bank in Australia1, so no matter where you are travelling, we should have a currency to suit your needs.2
Refer to foreign exchange rates for the full selection and further information.
For information on how to buy foreign currency cash, please see relevant section below.
When you return home, any accepted notes can be converted back to Australian Dollars at any ANZ branch or ANZ Foreign Exchange Centre location1.
Please ensure you bring suitable photo identification, such as your passport, when exchanging your money.
Please note: Non-ANZ account holders are only able to convert their foreign cash back into Australian dollars through ANZ branches where the value of the transaction is less than the equivalent of AUD 1,000. Conversions for this amount and over must be made via an ANZ Foreign Exchange Centre.
Customers who know what countries they are going to and want to plan ahead may want to purchase foreign currency cash before they go.
