ANZ was established in Samoa in 1991, then trading as Bank of Western Samoa. In 1997 Bank of Western Samoa changed its name to ANZ Bank Samoa. 

Today we are represented by several branches across the Pacific Islands with staff who are dedicated to helping both local and international customers with a comprehensive range of personal and business banking requirements.

ANZ Samoa Country Head – Sucharu Tandon

ANZ Samoa is led by Sucharu Tandon, who became Country Head in mid-2023. Sucharu will have responsibility for ANZ’s retail and commercial banking business in Samoa. He has around 20 years’ of financial services experience, across ANZ, Bank of America, Merrill Lynch and JPMorgan Chase and brings a wealth of knowledge across international markets, products, and customer segments.
