ANZ is one of the top ten largest listed companies in Australia by market capitalisation, one of four major banks in Australia (by total assets) and the largest bank in New Zealand (by total assets).

1961
Mobile branches in vans visited factories and workplaces bringing banking to staff.
1965
ANZ’s first computer – EMANZA (Electronic Method of ANZ Accounting) – was installed at 177 Toorak Road, South Yarra.
1982
ANZ launches night & day bank (ATM). When first launched these ATMs operated between 7am and 11pm. From 1 March 1983 ATMs began operating 24/7. This was the first continuous 24-hour banking service to operate in Australia.
